Pirate King: Auto Battler
Last updated 22 October 2026
This policy explains what information the Pirate King iPhone game ("the game") uses, why, and the choices you have. In short: we don't ask for your name, email or any account, and your game progress stays on your iPhone. Our advertising partner (Google AdMob) and our crash reporting service (Sentry) receive some technical information, described below.
Who we are
The game is made and published by Sameer Hussain, an independent developer based in the United Kingdom, who is the data controller for the purposes of UK data protection law. Contact: pkbattler.support@gmail.com.
1. Information saved on your iPhone
The game saves your progress on your device: your voyage, crew, collection, PK Coins, respin tokens, purchases you own, records and settings such as sound. This is not sent to us. It is included in your iPhone's own backups (iCloud or computer) like any app's data, and it is deleted when you delete the game.
2. Purchases
Purchases in the game (PK Coins, Remove Ads, characters and packs) are processed entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details, name or Apple ID. Apple tells the game which item was bought so it can be delivered and restored. Apple's handling of your purchase is covered by Apple's privacy policy.
3. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The game shows optional "rewarded" ads, only when you choose to watch one (for example for a free respin or a retry). These ads are provided by Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, and to prevent fraud, Google may collect:
- device information such as your iPhone model, iOS version, language and screen size;
- your IP address and the approximate location it indicates (country or city level);
- how you interact with ads (views, taps, whether an ad was completed);
- your device's advertising identifier (IDFA), only if you allow tracking when the game asks;
- an identifier specific to this app and crash or performance information about the ads.
Your choices. The game asks for your permission before any tracking, using Apple's "Allow app to track" prompt. You can change this any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking. If you're in the UK, the European Economic Area or Switzerland, Google's consent message will also ask whether ads may be personalised; you can change your choice later from the game's settings. If you don't consent, you may still see ads, but they won't be personalised. Buying Remove Ads stops ads being requested at all.

4. Crash reports (Sentry)
If the game crashes or hits a serious error, a crash report is sent to Sentry, a service that helps us find and fix bugs. A report contains technical details only: the error and where in the game it happened, the game version, your iPhone model and iOS version, and the time. It does not include your name, contacts or advertising identifier, and we don't use it to identify you. See Sentry's privacy policy.
5. What we don't do
- We don't have accounts, chat, friends lists or leaderboards.
- We don't ask for your name, email address, contacts, photos, camera, microphone or precise location.
- We don't sell your personal information.
If you email us for support, we use your email address and what you send only to answer you, and delete the conversation when it is no longer needed.
6. Legal bases (UK GDPR)
| What | Why | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Personalised ads, tracking | Show ads relevant to you | Your consent |
| Ads that aren't personalised | Fund the game with optional rewarded ads, and prevent ad fraud | Legitimate interests |
| Crash reports | Find and fix bugs | Legitimate interests |
| Support emails | Answer your question | Legitimate interests |
7. How long information is kept
Game data on your iPhone stays until you delete the game. Crash reports are kept by Sentry for up to 90 days. Google keeps advertising data as described in its own policies. Support emails are deleted once your question is resolved and no longer needed.
8. Children
The game is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Your rights
Under UK and EU data protection law you can ask to access, correct or delete personal information about you, object to or restrict how it's used, and withdraw consent at any time (which doesn't affect anything done before). Because the game has no accounts, we usually hold nothing that identifies you; the simplest way to remove the game's data is to delete the game, and to reset your advertising identifier in your iPhone's settings. To make a request or ask a question, email pkbattler.support@gmail.com. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or your local data protection authority.
10. International transfers
Google and Sentry may process information outside the UK, including in the United States. They use safeguards recognised under UK law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the UK Extension to the Data Privacy Framework between the EU and the US.
11. Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new "last updated" date. Significant changes will also be mentioned in the game's News board.
